A superhero falls in love with her teacher, leading her to question many of the things she assumed she knew.

Ava Larson is hoping that college will be the perfect first step into the real world—as fresh a start as possible for a superhero powerful enough to not be allowed a civilian identity.

And then she meets her Intro to Screenwriting teacher, Ms. Viera Bryant, and all that goes out the window very quickly.

Viera is quick-witted, dominant, knowledgeable, and, yes, hot as all hell, and Ava very quickly finds herself entwined with her. Everything about this relationship is new—especially for someone who’s never really been in one before—but Viera cares about her in ways that are also brand-new. She clearly wants Ava to thrive, and that push seems to be working.

But Ava's superhero friends aren’t quite sure about the whole setup, and Ava herself is starting to worry that Viera is hiding something. When that dark secret surfaces, Ava will have to decide between the foundational core of her worldview and the best relationship she’s ever been in.
